Backstory:
Lydia got baptized before we left Huntington. One of the sweetest gifts I received before Lydia was born was a beautiful baptismal gown. This dress is precious and dearly sentimental in that it was made from Ryan's mom's wedding dress. The miniature dress was so delicately made and full of lace details that it took up her entire wedding to make...truly a sacraficial and special gift from Suzanne. Because we wanted our Huntington church to be apart of this special day for Lydia, we had her baptized at 7 weeks old....needless to say, the dress was swimming on her and I had to pin it everywhere! (She still looked beautiful!) In our effort as new parents to get to church on time...seeing as how she was the first one up in the service order...I didn't get the formal pics that I wanted to properly cherish this sweet moment. So....(thank you for listening thus far)...this past week, I finally got the chance to put the dress back on Lydia (so glad it wasn't too small for her at this point) and take some portraits of her. Here are a couple of pictures I thought you might enjoy. Thanks again Suzanne!

This one looked awesome in black and white.

I tried to make this picture look vintage...not sure if its cool or creepy.

This picture serves as a shout-out to my dear husband who served as entertainer and safety net so she wouldn't fall...poor thing just wanted to play with daddy.
I am thankful beyond words that our gracious heavenly Father not only pursued and soften my heart, but also desires and promised to seek after the heart of my dear little one.
I just laughed really hard at your cool or creepy comment. Lydia = cool, not creepy.
